KADOKA, S.D. – The Kadoka Volunteer Fire Department responded to a report of a structure fire at an occupied motel Friday night.
First arriving Firefighters found a room on the first level filled with smoke.
The motel was quickly evacuated.
Volunteer Firefighters were able to keep the fire contained in the one room.
Guests were allowed to come back into the motel and gather their things. The owner provided them with other accommodations for the night.
Cause of the fire was under investigation.
