BOX ELDER, S.D. – Area fire crews responded to a grass fire located off Elk Creek Road Monday morning.
The fire was reported just after 10:00 a.m. and was burning in an area near Kettleson Loop.
The Kettleson Fire was around 2-3 acres in an open field as crews arrived to stop the forward progress of the blaze. It ended up burning a reported 20 acres.
The fire’s cause was under investigation.
