NEW UNDERWOOD, S.D. – Fire crews from the New Underwood area responded to a wildfire Wednesday afternoon on Red Top Road.
Firefighters say the blaze was burning in cured wheat stubble and additional help was brought in from Wall as well as units from Meade and Pennington County.
The fire threatened electrical power infrastructure, and caused damage to ranching assets.
Firefighters controlled the fire to approximately 200 acres.
No injuries to Firefighters, Civilians or domestic animals were reported.
