Fire crews contain wildfire burning north of Hulett

HULETT, Wyo. – Fire crews have contained the Creek Fire burning in northeast Wyoming north of Hulett.

The fire, which began on June 11, burned approximately 1,470 acres.

Federal and state resources battled the blaze in some rugged terrain north and west of Highway 212.

The fire reportedly didn’t threaten any structures. It’s cause was still listed as unknown by Great Plains Fire Dispatch Monday.

Meanwhile, Federal, state and local resources quickly knocked down a lightning sparked fire 5 miles southwest of Pringle Sunday.

The fire on Black Hills National Forest property charged just under 2 acres.

The fire was listed as contained Monday.
