CUSTER, S.D. – Firefighters responded to a wildfire off Hazelrodt Cutoff near Custer Wednesday afternoon.
Great Plains Fire Dispatch reports the fire was reported just after 1:00 p.m.
At last report, the fire had burrned between 10 and 20 acres. No structures were reportedly threatened as several local, state and federal agencies responded.
Meanwhile, fire crews also responded to a fire that burned approximately 800 round bales of hay. The fire was located in the 2400 block of Brophy Road near Hermosa.
The fire encompassed about an acre of land.
Fire crews were able to contain the fire and no structures were at risk.
