Fire crews respond to Wednesday night structure fire

RAPID CITY, S.D. – Rapid City Fire says several departments responded to a structure fire northwest of the Ellsworth Airforce base on Wednesday night.

The fire was reported at 9:02 p.m. in the 15000 block 220th St. in Meade County.

Firefighting crews arrived to find a free-burning fire in the laundry room of an occupied residence.

In a release, officials say crews were able to limit the damage to the structure, and there was limited smoke damage throughout the house.

All occupants of the house were able to safely evacuate the residence. No injuries were reported.
