RAPID CITY, S.D. – A former teacher who is accused of abusing a disabled student will go to trial in July.
Shea Lindsey is charged with one count of child abuse after being arrested in May of 2019.
Lindsey was working as a special education teacher at East Middle School at the time.
Records into what Lindsey allegedly did are sealed and prosecutors have said they cannot discuss the case outside of court.
Lindsey, who is out on bond, faces up to 10 years in prison if she is convicted.
Her trial is scheduled to start July 13.
