STURGIS, S.D. – The Sturgis Scooper football team has placed four players on the 2022 All State Team.
They are Owen Cass, Reese Jacobs, Tyan Buus and Gunner Rohloff.
Cass was Quarterback for the Scoopers this year, and one of his favorite targets was Tyan Buus.
Cass finished the year with a 52.5% completion percentage and went 139 for 265. He passed for 1,886 yards and had 20 touchdowns.
Buus wrapped up the season with 54 catches for 793 yards.
Reese Jacobs wrapped up a great year on both sides of the ball. Defensively, he registered 33 solo tackles and scooped up two fumbles and an interception. Offensively, he caught 32 passes for 451 yards.
And, Gunner Rohloff wrapped up the season with 133 carries for 883 yards. He averaged 6.6 yards for carry.
The annual Sturgis Scooper Football Year-End Awards Show is Monday, November 21 at the Sturgis Community Center.
