SPEARFISH, S.D. – Kyle Phin collected three hits in six at bats, but the Spearfish Sasquatch lost to the Fremont Moo 12-9 on Friday.
Phin hit a home run to left field in the fifth inning, singled in the first inning, and singled in the sixth inning.
Spearfish lost despite out-hitting Fremont 14 to 13. Phin, Ryan Bachman, and Micah Coleman each collected three hits for Spearfish.
Theo Hughes earned the win for the Moo. The reliever allowed five hits and two runs over two innings, striking out two and walking one.
Aidan Torpey took the loss for the Spearfish Sasquatch.
The two teams meet again today at 6:05 p.m.
