Friday COVID-19 report indicates 11 new deaths

PIERRE, S.D. – In their Friday report, state health officials reported 319 new cases of COVID-19 with 72 of them considered probable.

There were 11 new deaths reported today, sending the state’s death toll to 1,684.

Active cases remained relatively stable at 4,090 and the number of people hospitalized was down 8 to 177.

As for new cases across the Black Hills area, Pennington County had 43 new, confirmed cases, Meade County added 5 new cases and there were 2 new cases in Lawrence County.

Other new cases included 4 in Butte, 2 in Fall River and one in Custer.
