PIERRE, S.D. – The South Dakota Health Department reported 34 new cases of COVID-19 today, with six of those considered as probable.
After seven new deaths Thursday, there were no new deaths Friday, keeping the state’s death toll at 2,001.
Hospitalizations increased for the third day in a row to 61, but active cases continued their decline to 568.
Across the Black Hills area, there were 6 new cases. Lawrence County had 3 of the new cases and Meade, Custer and Fall River had the other 3.
