NEWCASTLE, Wyo. – In wrestling action Friday, the Sturgis J.V. captured the team title of the Newcastle Dogie Tournament.
The Scoopers finished on top with 280 points. Thunder Basin was second and Natrona County captured third.
Sturgis crowned two champions in Kalvin Ketelsen at 145 and Chase Temple at 160.
At the Mitchell, Rapid City Stevens, Winner Triangular, the Raiders picked up two wins with a 66-6 victory over Mitchell and a 40-27 win over Winner.
In other action, Philip went 1-1 Friday with a dual win over Hot Springs, 53-19 coupled with a 48-24 loss to Custer.
