STURGIS, S.D. – In their daily report, the South Dakota Health Department reported 139 new cases of COVID-19 Friday, with 19 of those listed as probable.
Active cases of COVID-19 statewide went up another 60 today, totaling 1,270.
The number of people hospitalized remained steady at 76, however, one new death was reported.
There have now been 2,052 COVID-19 related deaths since the pandemic began.
In the Black Hills region, Pennington County reported 31 new cases, with 3 of those considered as probable.
Lawrence County had 5 new cases and Meade County added 2.
Also reporting 2 new cases today were Custer and Oglala Lakota.
Butte County reported one new case.
