Friday’s COVID-19 report indicates 337 new cases, four new deaths

PIERRE, S.D. – State health officials reported 337 new COVID-19 cases Friday with 122 of those listed as probable.

Active cases dropped to 5,663 and the number of hospitalizations numbered 203.

There were four new deaths reported, sending the state’s death toll to 2,218.

Across the Black Hills area, Pennington County reported 76 new cases Friday, with 24 of those listed as probable.

Meade County added 11 new cases Friday and Lawrence County reported 8.

Elsewhere, Butte County tallied 8 new cases, Custer had 6, Fall River County reported 3 and Oglala Lakota County had one new case.
