PIERRE, S.D. – Health officials in South Dakota reported 398 new cases of COVID-19 Friday with 102 of those listed as probable.
Active cases increased by 255 to 7,335.
The number of people hospitalized dropped by 14 to 254.
Three new deaths were reported, sending the state’s death toll to 2,433. One of the three deaths was out of Lawrence County, who has seen 7 COVID-19 related deaths this month.
Across the Black Hills area, Pennington County reported 29 new cases with 3 of those listed as probable.
Lawrence County had 11 new cases and Meade County tallied 11.
Elsewhere, Oglala Lakota County showed 10 new cases, Fall River County had 5 and there was one new case each in Butte and Custer Counties.
