PIERRE, S.D. – A funeral service will be held Monday (June 5, 2023) afternoon for a 14 year old from rural Fort Pierre killed in an accident over the weekend.
River Ray Ludemann was in a Jeep when the accident happened around 9:30pm CT Saturday in the Off Road Vehicle area just south of the Oahe Dam. He was transported by AMR ambulance service to Avera St. Mary’s Hospital in Pierre, where he succumbed to his injuries.
Visitation will be on Monday from 1-3pm CT at the Stanley County Fairgrounds in Fort Pierre. The funeral service will begin at 3pm.
On a GoFundMe account set up for the family, River’s mom Jessica said about his upcoming funeral, “please don’t wear sad clothing. He loved clothes so wear your hats. Do not take them off.” S
