MITCHELL, S.D. – Several area teams competed at the Mitchell Invitational Golf Tournament Friday.
Winning top team honors was Sioux Falls O’Gorman with a low score of 317. The home team Kernels came in second.
Rapid City Stevens finished in fifth place and the Sturgis Scoopers placed 16th. Douglas placed 15th, just ahead of the Scoopers.
For area athletes, Tanna Phares of Stevens finished in 10th
Lilly Heisinger led Sturgis with a 114.
Harrisburg’s Reese Jansa shot a 4-under-par 68 to earn individual medalist honors. She finished with eight birdies on the day, including five on the front nine.
