RAPID CITY, S.D. – A Colorado woman remains in the I.C.U. at a Rapid City hospital after being struck by an intoxicated motorcyclist at the Buffalo Chip Campground last week.
Family and friends of Aaften Wesbrock says she had just exited a venue at the establishment when she was hit from behind by the motorcyclist. They say she suffered a traumatic head injury and remains in the Rapid City hospital.
The Meade County Sheriff’s Office says they are investigating two such incidents at the chip that left people with life threatening injuries.
In the incident that critically injured Wesbrock, a North Dakota man was arrested for Vehicular Battery and D.U.I.
In the other incident, a Lead man was arrested on similar charges.
Wesbrock’s father told KBHB that his daughter continues to fight for her life and hopes justice will be served.
A Go Fund Me page has set up for help with her medical expenses. You can find it here: Aaften Go Fund Me Page
