BUFFALO, S.D. – Fire crews worked diligently to knock down a grass fire that burned east of Highway 85, near the Butte-Harding County line Thursday night.
Officials say the Granger Creek Fire was contained overnight, but crews remained on scene watching for and dousing hot spots.
The fire was reportedly sparked by lightning.
The fire burned approximately 475 acres.
