Greg Jones

Greg Jones, 59, of Black Hawk, SD, died at home on September 29, 2024 after losing his battle with cancer.

He was born in Spokane in 1965 to Vicki and Bill Tejano, later adopted by Tom Jones after he married Vicki.  He attended most his school in Spokane, but his senior year was in Kettle Falls where he graduated in 1983.  After high school, Greg enjoyed an illustrious 30-year career in the U.S. Coast Guard.  Shortly after joining, Greg married Michele (Sannes).  They were soon joined by their daughter Jennifer.  After living in many duty stations, they settled in Kettle Falls.  After this move, there were surprised with twins Justin and Tyler.  After retiring from the Coast Guard as a Master Chief, Greg enjoyed being a town truck driver in Colville, where he could grow his hair and his beard, a look that he so desired not allowed by the Coast Guard.  After a difficult period, Greg and Michele went their separate ways.  Greg was lucky enough after this to start a new chapter when he met and married Angie (Austin). They relocated to Black Hawk, SD, where they really enjoyed riding Harleys and being close to Sturgis. They were both extremely faithful to the Word before he went home to the comfort of God. Greg is preceded in death by many friends and relatives that gave him a warm welcome. He will be dearly missed by his many friends and relatives still here. We will continue to celebrate him as he lives within us, the comforting memories give me peace
