Harding County Sheriff reports off road A.T.V. damage incidents

BUFFALO, S.D. – The Harding County Sheriff’s Office is looking into who is responsible for taking their A.T.V.’s off designated trails and causing damage.

On Monday, Harding County Sheriff Wyatt Sabo took to Facebook sharing that last week, the department investigated two separate cases of A.T.V.’s driving off the trails.

A witness had seen several vehicles off the trails and reported the activity to authorities.

The Harding County Sheriff’s Office asks the public that if they see such incidents to try and get a license plate to report to law enforcement. That way, the registered owner can be found and ticketed.

Sabo says he is currently working with the forest service regarding charges to the several vehicle owners from last week’s incidents.
