RAPIDCITY, S.D. – The Class AA portion of the 2024 SDHSAA state cheer and dance competition took place on Saturday October 26th from Summit Arena at The Monument in Rapid City.
Harrisburg won the state cheer championship, while Brandon Valley won the state title in overall dance.
The Sturgis Scooper Cheer Team finished in 11th place with a score of 234. Cheer Coach Brooke Wuebben says “the team came out and absolutely killed it today at state. So proud of everything they have accompliched this year. ”
Kira Willnerd and Kathleen Cook were named to the All State Competitive Team.
