Health Department reports 112 new positive tests for COVID-19 Saturday

PIERRE, S.D. – The South Dakota Department of Health reported 112 new cases of COVID-19 in its Saturday update.

In the Black Hills area, Pennington County reported 11 additional positive tests and Meade County reported one.

Pennington County now has a cumulative total of 138 cases and there are 111 active. Meade County now has 3 active cases.

Elsewhere, Oglala Lakota  County reported two new cases and Tripp County reported 3.

Minnehaha reported the most new cases with 37.

Statewide, there are 1,082 active cases, up from Friday’s 1,039.

The number of hospitalizations is 90 Saturday, up from Friday’s 83.

Total recoveries are 3,336.

The number of deaths remained the same at 50.
