Health officials report 14 new COVID-19 cases Monday; no new deaths

PIERRE, S.D. – South Dakota Health officials reported just 14 new COVID-19 cases statewide Monday. All of the cases were confirmed and there were no new probable cases.

Active cases have dropped to 242 and the number of people hospitalized due to COVID-19 was up slightly to 40 Monday.

No new deaths were reported Monday, keeping the state’s death toll at 2,022.

Across the Black Hills area, there were 5 new cases.

Pennington County reported 4 of those cases and Fall River County had the fifth.

Active cases in Pennington County are down to 42 today with 11 in Lawrence County and 7 in Meade County.
