PIERRE, S.D. – State health officials reported 187 new cases of COVID-19 in their Thursday report with 38 of them listed as probable.
After several days with no new deaths, three were reported today, sending the state’s death toll to 1,847.
Hospitalizations decreased by 2 Thursday, with 92 people in the hospital because of the virus. The number of active cases decreased slightly to 2,068.
Across the Black Hills, there were 33 new cases, of which, 3 were listed as probable.
Pennington County had 21 total new cases with 2 probable, Meade had 7 total new cases with 1 probable.
Elsewhere, Lawrence County had 2 new cases and Oglala Lakota County added 3 new cases.
