PIERRE, S.D. – The state Department of Health reported 474 new cases of COVID-19 in their Thursday report with 168 of those listed under the probable category.
Active cases statewide have decreased 19 to 6,716 and the number of people hospitalized due to the virus decreased by eight today to 213.
Three new deaths were reported, sending the state’s death toll to 2,170.
Pennington County reported 145 total new cases Thursday with 77 of those listed under the probable category.
Meade County had the second highest amount of new cases today with 25 confirmed and one probable.
Lawrence County reported 18 confirmed cases and one probable case. Butte County added 9 new cases.
Elsewhere, Fall River County had 16 total new cases with 9 of those considered probable, Custer and Oglala Lakota County each had 2 new cases and Harding County added a new case.
