PIERRE, S.D. – South Dakota health officials reported six new deaths and 175 new cases of COVID-19 in their Wednesday report.
The six new deaths, which included one out of Pennington County, raise the state’s death toll to 1,815.
Of the 175 new cases, 64 were listed as probable.
Active cases continued to decline as 2,151 were reported today. The number of people hospitalized remained at 109.
Across the Black Hills area, there were 19 new, confirmed cases and 2 probable cases.
Pennington County had 10 of the confirmed cases and one of the probable cases.
Lawrence County reported the other probable case, as well as 4 confirmed cases.
Meade County had 3 new, confirmed cases and Butte and Custer County each had one new case.
