STURGIS, S.D. – Heavy, wet snow was causing problems in the northern hills Tuesday night.
In Sturgis, as much as 8 inches of snow have been reported as of 9:30 p.m. and no travel advisories were out.
Sturgis Police say the slushy roads and lack of visibility were making for poor driving conditions.
There was also a no travel advisory on I-90 from the Wyoming border to Sturgis and most roads in the Black Hills had no travel advised. A Winter Storm Warning was in effect for the Black Hills Tuesday night.
The snow is expected to taper off overnight Tuesday.
