“Heinous crime” ends in 40-year prison sentence

RAPID CITY, S.D. — A South Dakota woman is going to prison for 40 years for a multi-state sexual exploitation of minors.

According to authorities, 26-year-old Emily Yeary from Summerset, S.D., was charged with multiple sex crimes with minors from Mississippi, Kentucky, Florida and Missouri which Yeary pleaded guilty to last November.

One of the victims was a missing 14-year-old girl from Mississippi who Yeary was caught with in her car and went to jail. Just days later after making bond, she contacted that same minor a second time and took that girl from her home to Kansas.

Officials say Yeary would also pose as a boy online and on TikTok under the name “Riley” where she would try to talk to other girls.

Yeary would also travel to different states to have sex with minors.

A U.S. Attorney said, “This is among the most heinous cases of child exploitation our office has prosecuted.”
