Hill City Girls, Belle Fourche Boys win Center of the Nation Track and Field meet

BELLE FOURCHE, S.D. – The Hill City girls and the Belle Fourche boys captured the team titles of the Center of the Nation Track and Field Meet in Belle Fourche Saturday.

Area athlete champs on the boys side include Rylan Palmer of Faith, who won the 400 meters and Sawyer Clarkson of Belle Fourche, won won the 800 and the 3,200 meters.

Luke Rupert of Hill City captured the 1,600 meters.

Samuel Hand of Philip won the 110-meter hurdles with Ezra Wildeman of RC Christian capturing the 300 meter hurdles.

Belle Fourche claimed the 4×400 meter relay and Philip won the 4×800 meter relay. Hill City won the Special Medley Relay.

In field events. Kadoka’s Lincoln Koehn won the shot put and his teammate Reece Ohrtman won the discus.

Lane Longbrake of Belle Fourche  captured the pole vault.  Jayden Sechser, also of Belle Fourche, won the triple jump.

On the women’s side, Alaina Dean of Hill City won the 100 meters and Mataya Ward of Belle Fourche won the 200 meters. Bridget Neville of Edgemont captured the 400 and Ava Allen of Belle Fourche won the 3,200.

In the hurdles, Harding County’s Jozi Schuchard won the 100 meters and Anna Dean of Hill City won the 300 meters.

In the relay races, Belle Fourche won the 4×100, Hill City captured the 4×200, as well as the Medley Relay.

In field events, Kayla Dilka of RC Christian won the shot put and the discus throw, Philip’s Drew Terkildsen won the high jump, Custer’s Ciana Stiefel won the pole vault, RC Christian’s Sadie Marshall captured the long jump and Newell’s Sarah Erk won the triple jump.
