SPEARFISH, S.D. — The Sasquatch ended their homestand winning against the Badlands Big Sticks Monday night by a score of 7-4.
Nicky Winterstein started off for the Sasquatch pitching in three innings and not allowing a single run to be scored. Hayden Slythe, Cameron Vollmer, and Riley Kirkpatrick would also make appearances in tonight’s game.
Hayden Driggs would be the spark the Sasquatch needed, hitting two RBI singles to put the Sasquatch in the lead, 2-0. The Sasquatch would come up big in the fifth inning tacking on three runs, and two more in the eighth inning as well.
The Sasquatch currently sits second place in the Clark Division and only 2.5 games behind the Western Nebraska Pioneers. Spearfish is 7-3 in their last 10 games. Spearfish will travel to Sioux Falls for their next series of games against the Sunfish. Sioux Falls is on a three-game win streak is in fourth place in the Clark Division. Both teams are set to play on June 29th, at 6:30 p.m. in Karras Park Home of Ronken field.
