HomeSlice Group to join with RCAS in making prom a reality

RAPID CITY, S.D. – The HomeSlice Group is joining with the Rapid City Area Schools to make prom become a reality for students after an outcry that it wouldn’t happen for a second year in a row because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

At a press conference Monday, RCAS Superintendent Lori Simon says they will partner with HomeSlice to hold prom after graduation.

RCAS is currently under a level 1 with few COVID-19 cases, and Simon says they wanted to get their kids to graduation healthy. School officials worried holding prom would lead to a number of students in quarantine or an outbreak of the virus.

Brad Jurgensen with HomeSlice says they are looking forward to working with parents and members of the community to make the event a success.

More information on the after graduation prom is expected in the coming weeks.

HomeSlice Media Group is the parent company of KBHB Radio.
