PIERRE, S.D. – South Dakota health officials reported 133 new cases of COVID-19 Monday, with 31 of them considered as probable.
Active cases totaled 2,153 and there was a double-digit increase in the number of people hospitalized, from 96 to 112.
No new deaths were reported, keeping the state’s death toll at 1,953.
Across the Black Hills area, there were 22 confirmed new cases and one probable case.
Pennington County had the most with 14 confirmed cases.
Lawrence County had 2 new confirmed cases, Custer had 3 and Fall River County added 2. The new probable case was in Custer County.
