Hot Springs Edges Sturgis in High School Volleyball Action

STURGIS, SD – The Hot Springs Bison lost set one to the Sturgis Scoopers, 26-24, but battled back to win the next three sets, 26-24, 26-24 and 25-23 to win the match three sets to one.  

Riyahn Heinert tallied 33 assists for Hot Springs.  Kenadee Maciejewski added 15 kills and three aces for the Bison, who improved to 11-8 on the season.

Sturgis was led by Tori Williams, who had seven kills and 18 assists.  Avreigh Long added nine kills and two aces, with Norah Iverson chipping in five aces, five kills and two blocks.  Sturgis falls to 4-14 on the year.  

The Scoopers are in action next on Thursday at West Gym when they host the Douglas Patriots.  First serve is scheduled for 7pm.
