SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Several area schools participated in the annual Howard Wood Dakota Relays, which wrapped up Saturday in Sioux Falls.
Among the highlights for area athletes, Belle Fourche brought home a strong second place finish in the boys’ 4×100 meter relay. Winner came in third and Custer was fourth.
Custer also placed third in the 4×800 and placed fourth in the 4×200 relay and 4×400 meter relays.
Hailey Uhre of Rapid City Stevens placed third in the 3,200 meters and Baylee Van Zee of Stevens finished fourth in the 100-meter hurdles.
The Belle Fourche girls claimed third in the Class A 4×100 meter relay and New Underwood took first in the Class B 100 4×100 meters.
The Wall girls’ came in third in the Class B 4×200 meter relay and the Custer girls placed second in the Class A 4×800.
