GILLETTE, WY. — A grisly discovery in an abandoned storage unit may give any future “Storage Wars” enthusiasts, pause.
According to the Gillette Police Department, a man called the police department after finding a skull in a storage unit in the 5200 block on Hitt Boulevard, Wednesday afternoon. The 46-year-old man bought the contents of a storage unit in an abandoned property auction. As he was going through the unit, he found what looked to be a human skull.
Local police were notified of the discovery at 11:19 a.m. Police Deputy Chief Brent Wasson has confirmed the remains are human.
Wasson did not specifically state whether it is believed to be a possible crime scene or related to a crime committed elsewhere. He did confirm the investigation is ongoing.
