Inaugural South Dakota State Softball Tournament Wraps up Saturday

ABERDEEN, S.D. – The state softball tournaments wrapped up their action in Aberdeen on Saturday as three inaugural state champions were crowned. Sioux Falls Lincoln, West Central, and Castlewood won the state titles.

Class AA
Championship: Sioux Falls Lincoln defeated Brookings 3-0
3rd Place: Sioux Falls Jefferson defeated Brandon Valley 11-1
5th Place: Sioux Falls Washington defeated Harrisburg 6-3
7th Place: Yankton defeated O’Gorman 6-2

Class A
Championship: West Central defeated Tea Area 4-0
3rd Place: Dell Rapids defeated Dakota Valley 7-5
5th Place: Madison defeated Elk Point-Jefferson 11-0
7th Place: Beresford defeated Lennox 10-5

Class B
Championship: Castlewood defeated Alcester-Hudson 3-2
3rd Place: Arlington defeated Bon Homme 4-0
5th Place: Hanson defeated Viborg-Hurley 11-9
7th Place: Deuel defeated Gayville-Volin 6-3
