Wall girls and boys win home invitational

WALL, S.D. - Both the Wall girls and boys won the team title of the Wall Invitational Track and Field Meet Saturday.

The Wall girls scored 95 points to lead the field with Rapid City Central coming in second.

The Wall boys scored 126.5 points for first place, well ahead of Timber Lake in second with 93.

Caelyn Valandra-Prue of White River had a big day for the girls, winning four events. She won the 100, 200, 400 and 800 meter dash.

Cooper McLaughlin of Wall won two events -- the shot put and the discus.

On the boy's side, the Wall relay team captured first place in the 4x100, 4x200, the 4x400 and the 4x800-meter relays.

The Eagles' Andrew Law also won the 110-meter hurdles and the 300-meter hurdles.

Kuper Heck of Timber Lake won two events -- the 400 and 800-meters, and Reed Ohrtman of Kadoka was also a double winner in the shot put and discus.
