Julie Ann Fischer

- April 16, 2019

Julie was born August 20, 1973, to Daniel and Kathryn Odson.  Growing up, she was pretty spunky.  She has been referred to as the “enforcer” by her younger siblings.  She was always willing to lend a helping hand, once in particular helping one of her sisters get ready for a date and giving the most memorable haircut.

She met Bryan and they were engaged in 1993.  They later married on October 20, 1995.  Siblings and nieces thoroughly enjoyed covering their vehicle with chocolate sauce and toilet paper.  She and Bryan maintained a beautiful marriage and had a love to be envied.  They enjoyed camping together and riding on their motorcycle to nowhere.

She was always a happy-go-lucky person and didn’t let many people’s opinions bother her.  She was very quick-witted, always having a snappy and clever comeback.  She had such an infectious laugh that was generally accompanied by a snort.  She was very sure of herself and could definitely hold her own in any argument or fight.  She was very thoughtful with her gifts, giving a book and matching stuffy for the great-nieces and nephews for their birthdays.  She also had absolutely no problem sharing her opinion about anything.  She had the best taste in music and fashion.  Often times, a niece would borrow a pair of shoes without returning them.  Luckily for Julie, she had tiny feet and eventually all of her shoes were too small to disappear.  Julie loved animals.  She had several cats and birds throughout her life, but those didn’t compare to her two Shih Tzus.  Those puppies meant the world to Julie.  She and Bryan bought Lilly and instantly were in love.  Romeo was acquired through a series of unfortunate events after which Julie decided he was just better off being with them vs his previous situation.  She spoiled them both rotten.  One thing is certain, she will be missed immensely.  She was an amazing wife, sister, mother, and friend.

Julie Ann Fischer, 45, of Sturgis, passed away on Saturday, April 13, 2019 at Rapid City Regional Hospital.
