The teams traded sideouts, and each team had two set points before the game was tied, 26-26. LBU was able to squeak out the last two points, earning the 28-26 win.

In the second set, the Chaps scored the first point, but kills by Kindra Cerrone and Madee Hoopman gave the Yellow Jackets a lead they would not relinquish. They eventually built themselves a cushion, leading by as many as seven. BHSU would win the set, 25-20, to tie up the match.

BHSU led, 6-2, in the three set, but Lubbock Christian chipped away and came back to tie it up, 8-8. The Chaps would keep the momentum, outscoring the Green and Gold en route to a 25-19 set win.
