HILL CITY, S.D. – An injured hiker was rescued in the Black Elk Wilderness area, Hill City Fire officials reported on Friday.
The Hill City Volunteer Fire Department reports that they were paged at 6:07 p.m. Friday night.
The injured hiker was located 2.5 miles up trail 9 and then carried back down to an ambulance.
Hill City Fire was aided by Pennington County Search and Rescue in the effort.
There was no word on the condition of the hiker.
