We have lost a treasured member of our family. Our hearts are broken and the sadness is beyond description.
Jason was born December 8, 1968, to his parents, Gene and Mavis Lucas. His time in this life drew to a close, in the early morning on September 21, 2023.
He was a loving son, brother, uncle, cherished nephew, friend, and a special dad to Buddy, his beloved red and white tabby.
Jason appreciated the simplicity of life. He so enjoyed fishing, gaming, and of course, his “anointed” Oakland Raiders.
He was kind and very generous. He drew so much joy from “paying it forward”. If he liked you, you were a friend for life. On the contrary if that wasn’t the case, the outcome would probably go in a different direction. One such trusted friend was Steven Huber. Jason always said. “He is my brother from another mother”. He was family from elementary school and throughout life. We want to thank Steven for all your help and being Jason’s rock. You have been amazing.
So go rest high on that mountain, Jason. Son, your work on earth is done.
Jason is survived by his mother, Mavis Lucas; brother, Jeff (Vicky) Lucas; uncle, Nick Lucas; aunt, Norma Volk; special aunt and uncle, Linda (Bob) Schaffner; nephew, Tyler Lucas; best friend, Steven Huber; extended nephews, Rease, and Kyial; plus, numerous cousins.
Jason was preceded in death by his father, Gene Lucas, who he was very close to, aunt, Marilyn Barnett, cousins, Michael Barnett, and Wayne Barnett, maternal grandparents, Marvin (Mable) Larson, and paternal grandparents, Paul (Nelda) Lucas.
Private family services will take place at a later date.
