Judith “Judy” (Otterberg) Brink

Judith “Judy” (Otterberg) Brink passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family after a long brave battle with cancer, on September 5th, 2024.

Judy was born to Roy and Beneta (Stevens) Otterberg on February 3rd, 1943 in Elgin, North Dakota. She had one brother, John Otterberg and they were both raised in Lemmon, South Dakota. Judy graduated from Lemmon High School in 1962 and married Edward Haugen in 1963. She and Ed later divorced in 1979. Judy moved to Sturgis, South Dakota and later married Wayne Brink on May 10th, 1980. Wayne passed away on May 7th, 2006.

Judy is survived by her children, David Haugen of Sturgis, Kristie Goff of Rapid City, Anita (Brad) Olson of Vale, and Duane (Tina) Haugen of Belle Fourche; one nephew, Todd (Karen) Otterberg of Spearfish, and one niece, Terri (Darryl) Firth of Spearfish; grandchildren, Jennifer Goff, Levi (Tonika) Wiesinger, Ashley (Garrett) Fleischman, Samantha Haugen, Cody (Ashley) Wiesinger, Janae Olson, Aaron Olson, Katie, Tiffany Drury and Teilla Drury; and two great grandchildren Terrance (Little T) Wiesinger and Abbigail Judy Fleischman.

Judith is preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Beneta Otterberg; brother, John Otterberg; and husband, Wayne Brink

Visitation will be Monday, September 9, 2024, 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., at Black Hills Funeral Home, 1440 Junction Avenue in Sturgis. Funeral services will be Tuesday, September 10, 10:00 a.m., at First Presbyterian Church in Sturgis.
