DEADWOOD, S.D. – According to statistics released today by the South Dakota Commission on Gaming, Deadwood’s overall gaming revenues were flat at -.098 percent over June of 2022, with slot machine handle decreasing by 1.74 percent, when compared to June of 2022.
The table game handle increased by 12.01 percent when compared to 2022 June’s table game handle.
Deadwood’s sports wagering handle was up 38.45 percent when compared to June 2022. Deadwood gaming operators rewarded players with $1,485,807 in “free-play” for the month of June, leaving taxable adjusted gross revenues of $11,734,801 for June of 2023.
“While we were hopeful that June would continue our upward trend, June’s strong table games and sports wagering performance have kept us above last year YTD,” said Mike Rodman, executive director of the Deadwood Gaming Association. “We are up 2.82% YTD overall over last year.”
