Keim pleads guilty as part of plea agreement

RAPID CITY, S.D.  – A man accused of vehicular manslaughter last year pleaded guilty in court Monday.

Seth Keim, 27, of Rapid City was accused of being behind the wheel of a Volkswagen Jetta that was traveling at high-speed with its headlights off when it hit a Rapid City police car, killing 27-year-old Lexi Hagen who was a passenger in the vehicle.

Keim was also charged with driving under the influence, vehicular battery, driving with a revoked license, and reckless driving, but those charges were dropped as part of a plea agreement.

His sentencing hearing is set for October 4.
