RAPID CITY, SD – The Sturgis Scoopers came out firing in set one and led the St. Thomas More Lady Cavaliers 12-4. STM took advantage of Scooper errors and fought back to win the first set 25-23, then won the next two sets 25-19, 25-19 to sweep Sturgis, three sets to none.
Sturgis (1-6) was led by Makenna Labeau with 20 assists. Danica Dschaak had nine kills. Enna Henry had 23 assists for St. Thomas More (6-2).
Sturgis travels to Red Cloud on Saturday to take on the Lady Crusaders.
