LEAD, S.D. – Law enforcement in Lead are looking into a shooting death.
The Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office says on Wednesday, September 25, they responded to a 9-1-1 call for a female with a gunshot wound at a residence south of Lead.
Upon arrival, first responders found the woman deceased.
The Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office subsequently began an investigation into the circumstances surrounding her death.
The woman was a 42-year-old from Mississippi who was in town for business.
Specifics as to the cause and manner of death are still being determined.
