RAPID CITY, S.D. – In legion baseball, Box Elder Post 315 returned to action on Thursday afternoon with a doubleheader against Yankton Post 12.
Despite a long rain delay, Yankton ended up sweeping Box Elder.
Post 12 pulled away in the third inning and won the first game, 11-4.
The second game was much closer.
Post 315 tied it up at 11 a piece late in the game.
But Yankton went on to win, 13-11.
Box Elder falls to 4-7 on the season and Yankton improves to 17-8.
Box Elder will host Spearfish on Sunday, June 30 starting at 11 a.m.
Meanwhile, Yankton will play at Post 22 on Friday and Post 320 on Saturday.
