RAPID CITY, S.D. – The Post 22 baseball team hosted Huron for game one of the playoff regional Thursday night.
The Hardhats rolled to an impressive 8-0 victory.
The two teams will meet up Friday at 10AM with Post 22 needing just one victory to earn a trip to the state tournament.
In other first round action, Rapid City Post 320 opened up their best of three series with top seeded Harrisburg Gold.
Harrisburg shut out the Stars 10-0 in a game that went five innings due to the mercy rule.
Game 2 is today (Friday).
Spearfish, who went in to the tournament as the 13th seed, also lost their opening game to the Renner Royals by the score of 10-0. That game also went five innings due to the mercy rule.
