BROOKINGS, S.D. – The Rapid City Post 22 Hardhats split a pair of games in Brookings on Wednesday.
In their first game, Post 22 scored a 7-5 victory over the Aberdeen Smittys. Declan Mickley got the win for the Hardhats, allowing two runs on two hits with five strikeouts and a walk.
In game two, Brookings Post 74 earned a 5-2 win over Post 22.
Haden Holec helped lead the Hardhats, going 2-4 with a run scored.
River Walters took the loss for Post 22, allowing four runs on two hits with one walk and no strikeouts.
In other legion action Wednesday:
Rapid City Post 315 and Spearfish Post 164 split a pair of games at McKeague Field.
Post 315 took a 6-5 walk-off victory in game one and dropped an 11-6 contest in game two.
In game two, Spearfish had 11 runs on 11 hits.
